One Mama Midwife Online Course Terms & Conditions

1. Agreement

By purchasing, accessing or participating in any One Mama Midwife online course ("Course"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.

If you do not agree with these Terms, you must not access or use the Course.

2. Educational Purpose

Our online courses are designed to provide evidence-based education and information to help you prepare for pregnancy, birth, postpartum and early parenting.

The information provided is intended for general educational purposes only and is not medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.

Participation in the Course does not create a midwife-patient relationship between you and One Mama Midwife or any of its educators.

Always seek advice from your own healthcare provider regarding your individual medical circumstances.

3. Course Access

Unless otherwise stated:

  • Course access is provided for the period specified at the time of purchase.
  • Access begins once payment has been successfully received.
  • Your login details are personal to you and must not be shared.
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access if account sharing is detected.

4. Licence to Use

When you purchase a Course, you are granted a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to access the Course for your own private use.

You may not:

  • copy or reproduce Course materials;
  • record, download or screen capture videos;
  • distribute Course materials;
  • upload Course content to any website or social media platform;
  • share your login with another person;
  • use Course materials for commercial purposes or professional teaching.

All intellectual property remains the property of One Mama Midwife.

5. Copyright

All videos, downloads, workbooks, graphics, logos, text, audio, presentations and educational materials are protected by Australian copyright law.

Unauthorised copying, reproduction or distribution may result in legal action.

6. Payments

All prices are listed in Australian Dollars (AUD).

Payment must be made in full before access is granted.

Prices may change at any time without notice.

7. Refund Policy

Due to the immediate access provided to digital content, purchases of online courses are non-refundable.

Refunds will only be considered where required under the Australian Consumer Law.

Nothing in these Terms excludes any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law.

8. Technical Requirements

You are responsible for ensuring you have:

  • a compatible computer, tablet or smartphone;
  • reliable internet access;
  • an up-to-date web browser;
  • appropriate software required to access downloadable resources.

One Mama Midwife is not responsible for internet outages, device incompatibility or technical issues outside our control.

9. Course Availability

While we aim to provide uninterrupted access, we do not guarantee that the Course will always be available.

We may:

  • update Course content;
  • improve the platform;
  • perform maintenance;
  • temporarily suspend access where necessary.

10. Medical Disclaimer

Pregnancy, labour, birth and newborn care involve individual circumstances.

The information contained within the Course may not be appropriate for every person or every pregnancy.

Always follow the advice of your treating healthcare professionals.

If you believe you or your baby require urgent medical attention, contact your healthcare provider immediately or call emergency services.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, One Mama Midwife excludes liability for:

  • any injury, illness or complications arising from reliance on Course information;
  • loss of income;
  • indirect or consequential loss;
  • technical interruptions beyond our control.

Nothing in these Terms limits any rights that cannot legally be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.

12. Community Conduct

Where Courses include discussion groups, comments or live sessions, participants agree to:

  • communicate respectfully;
  • avoid abusive or discriminatory behaviour;
  • maintain the privacy of other participants;
  • not advertise products or services without permission.

We reserve the right to remove participants who breach these standards.

13. Privacy

Your personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

By purchasing a Course, you consent to the collection and use of your information for course administration, communication and customer support.

14. Changes to Course Content

Medical guidelines and evidence evolve over time.

Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
